September in Breckenridge was a whirlwind at The Lodge! We celebrated weddings, proposals, anniversaries, town festivals, and so much more. The months of 2024 are flying by, and while September felt like the blink of an eye, October is sure to pass just as quickly. So, what exactly happened during this eventful month?
September in Breckenridge is one of the most popular times for weddings, and The Lodge hosted 12 beautiful ceremonies throughout the month. One of the largest celebrations of the year took place on September 21st, when we had the pleasure of hosting Kaitlyn Hoover and John Joyce, along with over 100 guests. Although the weather didn’t cooperate—rain in the afternoon turning to snow at night—their day was beautiful and seamless. Thanks to the hard work of Petal & Bean for planning and florals, Tents & Events and Elite Entertainment for rentals and lighting, and of course, our incredible banquet staff and chef, the ballroom was a warm and inviting retreat from the storm outside.
We send our heartfelt congratulations to Kaitlyn and John, and thank them for trusting us with their special day!
If you’re visiting during September in Breckenridge, you’re in for a treat. The town is known for its stunning fall foliage, with the aspens turning from vibrant green to golden hues. Our location above town offers one of the best views around (though we may be biased!). If you’re looking for other great spots to enjoy the fall colors, be sure to check out our Fall Guide on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook, where we highlight easy-access locations perfect for enjoying the beauty of autumn.
Speaking of romantic views, we were thrilled to host a special proposal during the golden sunset hour. The rain cleared just in time, revealing a stunning backdrop of fall foliage for the occasion. Special thanks to The Lavender Fox for the gorgeous flowers that helped make the moment even more memorable!
National Cheeseburger Day landed on September 18th—right in time for our weekly Burger & Beer Night! If you missed it, don’t worry—you can still enjoy our $20 Burger and Beer combo every Wednesday at Traverse Restaurant. If you’re looking for a great event to enjoy during September in Breckenridge, our weekly Burger and Beer night is a perfect midweek treat.
One of the biggest surprises for September in Breckenridge was the early snowfall. We experienced not one, but two snowfalls this month. The first, on September 5th, left the peaks dusted like powdered sugar, creating a buzz of excitement around The Lodge. Although it melted by the afternoon, it officially kicked off the countdown to ski season in Breckenridge.
The real snow arrived on September 21st, covering the ground with inches of white and making the mountains look ski-ready (if only!). The snow lasted a few days, even as temperatures rose, giving us the iconic combination of snow-capped peaks and golden aspens.
To get in the winter spirit, we’ve launched our Winter Blast Promo! Book your stay now and save 25% on the upcoming ski season, valid until April 5, 2025.
